Discuss a client financing need

Introductory conversations with mortgage brokers, insurance advisors, accountants, lawyers, and other professionals involved in a client's financing.

Discuss a client financing need. A financing request may involve a property transaction, a business requirement, or an insurance planning strategy. Catalyst Private Credit welcomes introductory conversations with mortgage brokers, insurance advisors, accountants, lawyers, and other professionals involved in a client's financing.

Begin with the transaction, the amount needed, the timing, and the proposed repayment source. A concise outline helps identify the information required for a review and the roles of the parties involved.

What to include in an initial inquiry

  • Your name, firm, professional role, and contact details
  • The financing type, location, and approximate amount
  • The purpose and target funding date
  • Available security and existing obligations
  • The proposed repayment or refinance plan
  • Any important conditions or outstanding approvals
Keep the client informed. You may start with a general scenario without identifying the client. Obtain the client's permission before sharing personal, financial, or policy information. Before a transaction proceeds, clarify each professional's role and any applicable fees or compensation arrangements.

Insurance related requests. For premium financing or an IFA discussion, include the type of arrangement, premium timing, policy ownership, proposed collateral, and intended movement of funds. If another lender is expected to provide repayment funding, explain the status of that facility and any remaining conditions.

The initial conversation should establish what needs to be reviewed and who needs to be involved. It does not represent an approval or a funding commitment.

Have a transaction in mind? Share a brief overview and the date you need funding, and we can begin by identifying the information needed for a review.
